Responsibilities

The Compliance Specialist will report to the E&C Compliance Manager, and will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring and assisting in the organization’s ongoing compliance with state and federal laws. The Complaince Specialist will also be responsible for generating, validating and submitting timely and accurate US federal and state HCP/HCO disclosure reports on behalf of OAPI and OPDC. 

  • Contribute to end-to-end management of data quality errors and work with internal and external stakeholders to determine root causes, requirements and resolutions;
  • Develop reports to expose and mitigate potential risks and gaps; 
  • Escalate data integrity issues to management;
  • Assist management with utilization of current systems and tools to ensure accurate data tracking and reporting;
  • Participate in daily activities related to Otsuka’s global Aggregate Spend data collection efforts;
  • Monitor and report on updates to relevant state and federal regulations;
  • Assist with quarterly, mid-year, and end-of-year transparency reconciliation processes to ensure appropriate business review of data collected;
  • Maintain a detailed log of all operational activities, requests and communications;
  • Serve as Transparency Subject Matter Expert (SME) and liaison to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Effectively interpret and explain Company transparency procedures and policies;
  • Conduct industry-wide and business-specific analyses of collected Aggregate Spend data;
  • Provide operational support to the Compliance Manager

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable laws, regulations and codes

 

Preferred:

  • Aggregate Spend/Transparency reporting experience preferred
  • Experience in life-sciences compliance preferred or relevant advanced degree / certificate 
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and regulatory information;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a dynamic and changing environment; and
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites and ability to learn analytics technology tools.
