  • Responsibilities

    We are expanding the Information team in the Princeton office and are looking to hire an Information Specialist.

     

    Ideal candidate job responsibilities:

    Provides customized information strategies, solutions, and services for internal clients in the U.S., Europe, and Japan, to support business decisions in clinical development and commercialization. Tracks and monitors products and industry trends to provide competitive and business intelligence to help IRC clients enhance strategic planning. Support the development of online resources including databases, journals and books. Regularly evaluates and implements new resources and systems. Organizes and maintains IRC resources. Monitors usage to ensure ROI. Supports IRC online databases and application systems administration, including answering user questions, troubleshooting problems and developing solutions and enhancement. Assists in developing and conducting user training programs by identifying needs, leveraging resources, and implementing processes for measuring effectiveness. Assists in marketing and promoting online resources and services

    • Tracks and monitors products and industry trends to provide competitive and business intelligence to help internal clients enhance strategic planning.
    • Support the development of online resources including databases, journals and books. Regularly evaluates and implements new resources and systems. Organizes and maintains IRC resources. Monitors usage to ensure ROI.
    • Supports IRC online databases and application systems administration, including answering user questions, troubleshooting problems and developing solutions and enhancement
    • Assists in developing and conducting user training programs by identifying needs, leveraging resources, and implementing processes for measuring effectiveness.
    • Assists in marketing and promoting online resources and services

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Master’s Degree in Information or Library Science from an accredited program
    • 5+ years of corporate library or information center experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical industry.
    • Expert knowledge and proficiency with pharmaceutical, medical and business-related resources and databases such as ProQuest Dialog, Factiva, Cortellis, GlobalData, PharmaPendium, etc.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
    • Have initiative and proactively strive for superior customer services and outcomes
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
    • Adaptable, flexible, and able to balance multiple projects.

    Preferred:

    • B.S./M.S. degree in Life Science
    • Experience with library integrated system and RightFind
