  • Responsibilities

    The Manager/Senior Manager, ASSURE Program Effectiveness is considered to be skilled in their demonstration of operational and effectiveness proficiencies.  This manager is able to apply skills in various situations.  Specifically, the Manager/Senior Manager will:

     

    • Business Management - Ability to plan, allocate, monitor, organize, and prioritize activities and resources to maximize field patient support impact and measure progress against plan
    • Critical Thinking - Ability to understand a situation, issue, or problem by breaking it into smaller components. Ability to collect information, derive inferences, find solutions and make informed decisions and recommendations using data and tools where appropriate
    • Stakeholder Development - Build and maintain internal relationships based on stakeholder needs and organizational politics
    • Vendor Management – Knowledge of available resourcing options. Understands when and how to use external resources. Knowledge and experience in selecting vendors, working with vendors, and managing the performance of allocated resources according to contractual expectations.
    • Oversees ASSURE effectiveness functions to ensure timely communication, distribution, and analysis of data. Works with cross-functional partners including, for example, Business Analytics and Information Technology colleagues, to address alignment issues, data issues, etc.
    • Builds and maintains strong rapport with ASSURE Leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure ongoing decision support needs are met with a focus on continuous process improvement.
    • Assists in business review preparation for Lead of ASSURE Patient Support Strategy & Effectiveness and the Senior Director, ASSURE.
    • Monitors department performance against key support indicators (KSIs) and implements improvement strategies as required.
    • Monitors territory level plans across the business unit to ensure sites are properly prioritized according to patient support needs, resourced and that there is a strategic plan in place that is tightly aligned to the national patient support plan.
    • Implements effective stakeholder prioritization and reporting tools to support strategic patient support imperatives and assist management in evaluating patient support effectiveness/performance.
    • Manages budget to ensure business priorities are properly resourced.
    • Coordinates the exhibit and display approval process with legal and finance to ensure timely review and approval.
    • Works with ASSURE National Director and T&D to coordinate POA and other meeting planning.
    • Works to identify best practices across division and collaborate with Training & Development and ASSURE Field Management toward identified behaviors.
    • Works to address the effectiveness of the field patient support organization.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Ability to determine tasks and actions required to implement a specific strategy or business initiative
    • Ability to organize qualitative information and data to identify/explain trends, problems, and their causes.
    • Ability to analyze short- and long-term strategic goals and determines long-range objectives; develops broad, initial timelines based on these strategic goals.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to interact with people of all levels, both internally and externally
    • Knowledge of patient support processes and business management principles
    • Experience with computer software programs and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • BA/BS in related field
    • 4+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
    • Ability to work in Princeton, NJ corporate office
