  • Responsibilities

    Reporting into the Associate Director, Corporate Communications, the Manager, Internal Communications will manage the development and execution of internal communications initiatives that support business objectives across OAPI and OPDC organization.


    Key responsibilities include but not limited to the following:


    • Develop content highlighting Otsuka’s innovation and leadership (Corporate) as well as our Mental Health / Nephrology / Digital Medicine (Brand specific) organizations for appropriate settings. e.g. website, articles, flatscreens, print, etc.
    • Liaison with corporate communications / public relations teammates to pull through external and social media content internally.
    • Manage the development and execution of programs that promote employee engagement and culture, and build alignment and support for organization’s vision, strategies and priorities
    • Support development and maintenance of communications guidelines / templates / processes / procedures
    • Manage PRC review and approval process for corporate communications
    • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with department heads/leads to ensure alignment with communications projects and consistency of messaging.


    • Bachelor’s degree required.  Degree focus preferably with a concentration in communications or related discipline
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience in communications or related field with experience in internal and/or external communications is required.
    • Experience in healthcare/biotech/pharmaceutical industry is preferred
    • Experience working with an advertising agency is preferred
    • Experience with Project Management software tools is preferred
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
    • Ability to manage multiple issues and projects
    • Strong interpersonal skills, excelling written and verbal communications
    • Up to 10% travel is required based upon business needs.
