    Otsuka IT is embarking on an ambitious transformation plan.  As part of the journey we need to hire a Director, IT Vendor Management

     

    The Director of Information Technology Vendor Management is responsible for establishing the IT Vendor Software and Service Management program for IT.  He or she is responsible for all technology and IT vendor license and contract services for Otsuka across OAPI, OPDC, and OAI. He or she will manage a small team responsible for a combination of IT vendor contracts (including software and services), performance relationship and risk management. He or she owns and must understand contractual, commercial and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure effective delivery of committed goods and services. This role is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Sr Director, Transformation Lead.

     

    Key responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

    • Responsible for establishing and managing the Vendor Strategy and IT Operational Management Program for IT
    • Chiefly responsible for management of Vendor Software and Service Contracts across IT
    • Ensures that all IT Vendor Software License and Service Contracts are:
      • Managed centrally with clear responsibility
      • Aligned with the IT Vendor Strategy
      • Competitively negotiated and priced with proactively review, negotiation, and renewal
      • Appropriately consolidated eliminating duplication across OAPI/OPDC, maximizing scale and pricing discounts
      • Reviewed and trued-up annually in compliance with licensing terms
    • Business Reviewed on a Quarterly bases to monitor, measure, and ensure Otsuka receives expected service levels and performance

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree is required, master’s degree preferred. Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related discipline is preferred
    • Professional Certifications preferred such as: 
    • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) 
    • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) 
    • Certified Technology Procurement Executive (CTPE) 
    • Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) 
    • A minimum 5 years of experience in vendor management or a related field is required
    • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience preferred 
    • Proven experience in successfully leading a team in the management of vendors/third parties, including, but not limited to, policies, performance, vendor risk, relationships, contracts (including negotiations), and issue and dispute resolution is required
    • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience is desired
    • Broad knowledge of the IT industry and the products and services provided by technology vendors is required
    • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and industry requirements is preferred
    • Working knowledge of contract management and negotiation is required 
    • Understanding of the entire vendor life cycle (sourcing, procurement, vendor management), and how internal roles interact and operate throughout the duration of vendor engagements is required
    • Solid grasp of financial concepts, such as depreciation schedules, dollar costing and total cost of ownership is required
    • Up to 10% travel is required based upon business needs
