  • Responsibilities

    • Ensures the Customer Service, Technical Support, and Materials Management departments are operating efficiently and effectively by providing the highest level of support to the MDD and its customers.
    • Develops operating budgets and operates business unit within the assigned expense budget.
    • Maximizes the effectiveness of internal and external resources to meet business objectives.
    • Assures that manufacturing and distribution partners meet their commitments to OAPI and vice versa.
    • Develops contracts with business partners occasionally.
    • Manages product inventory by working with business units and distribution centers to ensure current and future anticipated customer needs will be able to be met and delivered in a timely manner.
    • Communicates and addresses problems with contracted suppliers and advises management on potential supply issues.
    • Develops SOPs and internal training documentation where necessary.
    • Provides final approval on product/process documentation.
    • Develops and implements programs geared toward improving customer satisfaction, productivity and reducing costs.
    • Works closely with Marketing and Business Development to support the deployment of next-generation products and ensure future product serviceability.
    • Implements new processes for new products as they become available

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • B.S. Degree in related engineering discipline + advanced technical degree or equivalent experience
    • 8+ years of operational and technical experience including experience in a regulated GMP/QSR compliant environment
    • Record of management/leadership effectiveness
    • Strong negotiate skills to maximize effectiveness of resources and influence others
    • Knowledge of principles like GMP’s and FDA guidelines
    • Capable of designing projects/studies outside area of expertise and directing others in their implementation
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Effective listening skills
    • Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience as well as project management tools
    • Proficient in the use of computers and computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
    • Ability to operate in a multi-cultural, multifaceted corporate environment
    • Preferred:
      • Technical management experience including cross-functional teams, resource management and product development experience
