The team is charged with providing strategic sourcing solutions to transform the OPDC clinical trial model, by integrating traditional service providers with new technology vendors and internally sourced analytic and technical applications. This necessitates a transformation from a traditional Clinical Outsourcing function to a first-in-industry hybrid of business operations and alliance management with strategic sourcing. We believe we can define the new wave of pharma R&D business model.
The Senior Director Business Operations will be accountable for creating a business function with the capability of managing and integrating traditional and non-traditional vendors for an evolving new business model for clinical trial conduct and other research and development activities. Use of ideas beyond those currently used in the pharmaceutical industry are expected to be leveraged. This role will spearhead the development of a new end-to-end process that allows for efficient throughput, financial transparency, customization of collaboration models, and flexibility to iterate based on changing technology and market factors. The Senior Director Business Operations will work extensively with other functions to identify and investigate new technologies and participate in the iterative design of the clinical trial model. Working with individuals on the team to strengthen and expand competencies to match the requirements of the business function will be a primary focus.
