Responsibilities

The Trade & Specialty Data Operations Manager ensures that Trade & Specialty pharmacy data (SPP) are complete, accurate, consistent and fit-for-use.  Activity is centered in the traditional data quality and data management domains and also has responsibility for creating and managing SPP reports to support commercial operations.

 

This position will report to the Senior Director of Trade & Specialty Strategy and Operations. 

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage trade & SPP customer contracts, by analyzing and monitoring data to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Identify appropriate metrics and tracking to ensure the right execution and success; analyze procedure volume, trends, growth, for the wholesale/retail/SP channel
  • Ensure SPP/PSP data structures meet business needs. Manage the SPP/PSP (Patient Support Providers) business oriented data quality program as well as program changes
  • Proactively intervene with data sources to solve data problems
  • Manage data feeds from various sources including but not limited to 3PL portal, EDI data through ValueTrak, SPP contracts with Prometric and execute appropriate action plans to mitigate risk
  • Support internal trade reporting for Market Access by analyzing data from weekly trade reports, monthly management reports, Lost Sales, and others as identified
  • Monitor and track all sales and inventory movement within the trade channels
  • Collaborate with pricing, contracting and compliance to ensure all wholesaler/SPP contracts and fee for service agreements are compliant with government regulations

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited four-year college or university (or the equivalent if education obtained outside of the United States)
  • At least 3-5 years direct experience with pharmaceutical sales data and data management with an emphasis on specialty pharmacy and patient services program data
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing data sources specifically specialty pharmacy and patient services data
  • Understands the basic principles of data governance and date stewardship (data quality)
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in pharmaceuticals sales operations; understands how data is applied in a pharmaceuticals commercial operations context. 
  • Ability to translate business needs into data requirement 
  • Understands the basic principles of data management and pharmaceutical sales data processing
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate the data management subject matter to a non-technical/unfamiliar internal customer
